Description:

A full corporate site for the Canadian retailer, Home Hardware.  With custom features including: Google Maps with driving directions, postal code to geo co-ordinate mapping, A full CMS system, custom landing pages with image rotation and scheduling, user registrations with third party support via SOAP interface, full opt-in emailing, Endeca integration via PHP/JAVA bridge, and more.  My work on this site was from 2007 to May 2009.

Technologies used:

PHP, Zend Framework on a Zend Platform stack. MySQL and Memcached. PHP/Java Bridge integration to utilize the Java only resources of Endeca. Google Maps integration for driving directions and store locations.  Opt-In emailing using a StrongMail appliance directly connected to the websites database.  AJAX features using Prototype, Scriptaculous and other plugins.
