Random Stuff

This page is fairly out of date, so if you have any questions contact me.

I’m a very flexible individual. My skills are of a wide base, but mostly related to computers and the industry (but I can fix a leaky pipe or rewire a house – although, not licensed). I am able to work with databases small and large, websites of any proportion. When I design sites I take into account the use, functionality and asethetic requirements. Typically I will hand code entire sites with standards in mind. My sites are fully usable and compatable with all platforms that follow standards. I also avoid over use of scripting, flash, and other uneccessary elements that usually hinder speed, usability and over all opinion of a website.

I use as many cost-effective tools as possible. I am aware of the capabilities of both free and non free applications and servers and will use what is required to get a task done. A typical, affordable solution will include Linux Operating System, Apache web server, PHP script parser, MySQL databases and various other free tools. If you’d like a sample of my servers in use, you’re using one. I currently administer a test server in my home, and a production server for my personal hosting company, Flatline Systems. I am by no means limited to these tools. My programming base allows me to easily adapt to environments using other programming applications, ASP, Visual Basic and C/C++.

Graphic tools, although I do not consider myself a graphical genius, include Jasc’s Paint Shop Pro, Macromedia’s Flash and Fireworks as well as Adobe’s Photoshop to some extent. I also am able to capture, edit and encode video for websites using tools such as VirtualDub, Adobe Premier, and others. I have also dabbled in DVD Authoring using Sonic Foundry’s DVDit! as well as ULead’s DVD Workshop.

There’s just so much more I could go on about, as to my interests, desires and goals – but I think I’ll save those for another day.

I am always looking for temprorary or full time work using any range of the above tools. If you are interested in communicating with me further about any project ideas please feel free to Contact Me with your inquiry.

This site is always in progress. There is no “complete” state, however, feel free to Contact Me if you have any suggestions.
