Websites

Here’s a listing of site’s I’ve done high priority work on:

  • darrylclarke.com – Personal profile site, with little things that I think should be online. Sort of a personal notepad. This is it of course.
  • flatlinesystems.net – My personal business. Website hosting, design, database maintainence, etc.
  • smartssa.com – decomissioned in 2008, now redirects here. Another personal site. This was to demonstrate a little bit of Fireworks and Dreamweaver work a few years ago. Most of the content is being put on this site now a days though.
  • pileofcrap.org – A “blog” site from before the day of the “blog.” It’s fully written and maintained by myself. It’s entirely PHP and MySQL driven. Other users contirbute, it’s pretty normal to see sites like this now. Subsites of PoC include The Acronym Archive and Trivia – A simple trivia game that is sitting on my backburner. There is also a fairly vast Gallery as well.
  • mynakedass.com – Comic relief. A blog about a donkey. There’s no nudity, so it’s safe.
  • marensmusic.com – A musicians fan site. Originally maintained by her brother it was passed to me sometime in 2003. I have since redesigned it twice, and now in it’s current state it doesn’t work with IE.
  • sillysounds.net -  (was .com) It started as a college project in 1998 and now it sits getting a few hits here and there. It’s an audio archive of soundclips.
  • whigfield.net – A musicians fan site. Whigfield, a danish singer, with a few mp3 file downloads and very little content. Simple, and to the point.
  • bjca.net – Bit Journal: Coders Anonymous – intended to be an archive of code snippits, it has fallen to the backburner many times due to other work. Someday it may or may not make it’s way to glory. But for now, it is a playground for me and my Apache stuff.
  • partyinthenight.com – an online database of pubs, clubs, bars, and fun things to do at night (pre-build state)
  • sendalink.net – a share-this-link type site (pre-build state)

Sites a la Non Profit

Here’s a short list of not-for-profit work that I have done.

  • Girl Guides of Canada: Grand Division – Using client provided content, I’ve hosted this site free of charge since 2001. Basically I used Fireworks to layout the pretty front-end, while the client maintained the html content page.
  • Youth Fire Ministires – I ran a cleanup mission on this site and now host it free of charge since 2001
  • CNIB: DeafBlind Literacy – Designed with simple rules: High contrast, large format, accessable. This was done in 2000.

Sites I’ve had a Hand In

Here’s a list of sites I’ve worked on in some way (usually under contract) or another — Some are private URLs, so don’t complain about not being able to see the work:

  • Home Hardware – complete redesign of the website in 2008. Over 13,000 lines of code, PHP integration with a Java (Endeca), Zend Framework, CMS Back end, and a suite of administration tools.
  • Bell Mobility – All around work on a user interface for a client/prospect data managment system. Lots of database work as well as re-working massive amounts of code from an old unstable base.
  • Crown Royal – strictly backend, security testing and auditing.
  • Guinness – front-end form handling, backend database work.
  • Johnnie Walker – front-end form handling, backend database work.
  • HP / Intel – front-end form handling, backend database work.
  • ocsta.org – registration form(s) and handling

Sites that have changed

These sites are sites that I worked on and have since been changed. If at any point I find my original source, I will post a screen-shot of what they looked like.

  • brantcord.com – A simple profile website. Designed in 2001, Changed in 2004
  • twmcanada.com – A simple profile website. Designed in 2000, Changed in 2003
  • twelveinchcactus.com – A band site, Designed in 2001, Defunct in 2003
  • kasselerfoods.com – A simple profile website for Kasseler Foods. Work was done in 2000, changed maintainer in 2007
  • lacytools.ca – My first eCommerce website. I used osCommerce to get things up and running. With a few backend modifications, and some heavy Microsoft Access to MYSQL data conversions their catalog was online. This site is fully maintained by the client. Work done in 2001, site changed maintainer in 2009
